Her path toward holistic health started after losing her brother to cancer in 1997. Although she always led an active life competing in various sports, her brother's death became a catalyst in exploring alternative practices to improve her overall health and well-being. She enrolled in the School of Healing Arts in San Diego taking classes in massage, Reiki, and nutrition. She started a daily meditation practice and is Usui/Reiki II Certified. She recently obtained her certificate as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and is a Certified 21 Day Sugar Detox Coach.
